Financial year 2025/26. Made in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Adnah Healthcare, a leading employment and staffing services business, has released its Modern Slavery Statement for the financial year 2025/26, reaffirming our dedication to eradicating all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking within its operations and supply chain. This statement, made in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, highlights the company's ongoing efforts to ensure ethical and transparent business practices.
Zero tolerance for modern slavery
Adnah Healthcare emphasises a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. This encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour. The company is committed to acting with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and has implemented robust systems and controls to prevent any form of modern slavery from occurring within its business or supply chains.
Our business
Adnah Healthcare specialises in providing temporary labour with both public and private sector clients. We provide a range of services, including temporary labour and managed services, across a diverse sector. While the recruitment industry faces specific challenges related to modern slavery, Adnah Healthcare believes that its specific areas of specialisation reduce the likelihood of such risks. Nonetheless, the company maintains vigilance and continuously works to mitigate potential threats.
Identifying and mitigating risk
Adnah Healthcare's Anti-Slavery Policy underlines our firm commitment to ethical behaviour in all business relationships. This commitment is backed by the implementation and enforcement of effective systems and controls to prevent slavery and human trafficking from infiltrating the company.
Key strategies include:
- Due diligence. Adnah Healthcare conducts thorough due diligence when onboarding new suppliers and performs regular reviews of existing ones. This process involves building long-term relationships, evaluating modern slavery risks associated with each supplier, and establishing mechanisms for reporting concerns and protecting whistleblowers.
- Zero tolerance. The company has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards slavery and human trafficking, both within our company and our suppliers.
Policies and practices for a transparent workplace
Adnah Healthcare operates through a number of internal and client policies, to ensure business is conducted ethically and transparently. These include:
- Anti-Slavery Policy. A clear policy outlining the organisation's stance on modern slavery, how employees can identify instances of it, and where they can seek help.
- Recruitment Policy. A rigorous policy, including mandatory eligibility to work in the UK checks, is in place to safeguard against human trafficking and forced labour.
- Whistleblowing Policy. A policy that enables employees to raise concerns about the treatment of colleagues or the practices within the business.
- Code of Business Conduct. A code that sets standards for the organisation's behaviour and outlines expectations for employees and suppliers.
Supplier responsibility
Adnah Healthcare maintains a preferred supplier list, and each supplier undergoes thorough due diligence before being included. This includes online checks to ensure they have no history of modern slavery offences, and monitoring of their working conditions to ensure legislative compliance.
Key supplier requirements include:
- Compliance with Anti-Slavery Policy. All suppliers must acknowledge and comply with Adnah Healthcare's anti-slavery policy.
- Eradication of modern slavery. Suppliers must demonstrate that they have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their own operations.
- Accountability for supply chain. Suppliers are required to hold their own suppliers to account on modern slavery matters.
- Fair wages. UK suppliers must pay their employees at least the national minimum or living wage. International suppliers must pay the prevailing minimum wage in their country of operation.
- Contract termination. Adnah Healthcare reserves the right to terminate contracts with any supplier found to be involved in modern slavery.
Training and performance measurement
Adnah Healthcare recognises the importance of education and awareness. To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, the company provides training to its staff. A new system of checks has also been implemented for staff to use when engaging workers.
The company measures the effectiveness of its efforts through the absence of reports from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies regarding modern slavery practices.
A continuous commitment
This Modern Slavery Statement reaffirms Adnah Healthcare's commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chain. The company will continue to monitor its policies and practices, and adapt its approach to ensure its commitment remains robust and effective.
